Florida and more to the point Orlando, have much more to offer us and not just the Disney world hype that it generally receives. However everybody should think about some of the other locations in and around Orlando as well. Consider these American holidays as well:
Some of these resorts are huge and are amazing places to visit. This Alligator reserve is larger than many others in America and is only a stones throw away from the center of Orlando, it spans an impressive 110 acres. You can probably guess what you will find here but I will explain. You will learn that there are more than one thousand alligators at this park. If you want thrills and to see some mad alligators, then you have to come here, it is a bit different to Sea World. This place is great for the adventure minded person, there are events that run all day long from a feeding frenzy to wresting with the alligators.
There is the Kennedy Space Centre. Although this Space center is known all over the world, it is not truly appreciated for what it can offer the general public. If you’re lucky enough to get there when they have a rocket on the platform it really puts into perspective the size of these things. The Kennedy Space Centre is famous for the Apollo rockets that have launched from there, some not going very well. The general area outside of the visitor’s zone and near the launch area has Crocodiles patrolling the areas like security guards. If you have the time then you should try to take the trip to the Kennedy Space Mirror Memorial.
The Silver Springs are another inspiring location. They are one of the largest artesian springs in the world and contain some amazing wildlife. It is possible to go on one of the Glass bottomed boat tours so that you can visit the wildlife under the water and see how clear everything is. Much like all of the other resorts in Florida this one too has a small theme park as well. These three locations are Great Orlando Holidays destinations.
Holidays like Las Vegas holidays have over shadowed these kinds of holidays and that shouldn’t really be the case when you have places like these to visit.
