Visitor Attractions To Visit In Cardiff

Though Cardiff has only been a city for 100 years, surprisingly there has been a castle in existence in Cardiff for an estimated 2,000 years. The Cardiff Castle we see today is, most probably, the city’s most popular tourist attraction and can be located in the very heart of the city centre. Tourists can go on a guided tour around the castle’s interior, and/or, enjoy a stimulating wander about the stunningly picturesque gardens of the castle. You will also find a newly opened Interpretation Centre at the castle which displays the various stages of development, of the castle,  through time from the Roman period through to today.

Cardiff also has a fair number of modern visitor attractions including the highly interesting Techniquest, one of the UK’s finest Science Discovery centres. At the centre tourists will be presented with more than 100 hands on exhibits, designed especially to both educate and entertain all ages. Within the centre there is a Discovery Room, a planetarium, a hi-tech Science Theatre and a lab.

There are many many more attractions to see in the Welsh city of Cardiff, so, if you and your family are currently considering spending a few weeks there it is crucial that you reserve your  room at the earliest moment because, unfortunately Cardiff hotels and guest houses tend to be alarmingly busy and are often fully booked for months in advance. If your group is large you might find that Cardiff apartment accommodation turns out to be a cheaper alternative to bed and breakfast accommodation.
