Have you made any plans for your summer holiday yet?Usually I travel abroad for my holiday, the main reason being that when I have a suntan I feel better about myself and certainly look healthier.
However, this year I am not so sure that I can really be bothered with all the hassle of travelling abroad.How come it doesn’t seem to make any difference what day we travel on, there always seems to be somebody striking at the airport delaying everything.It is such an inconvenience when after a year saving hard for your holiday, some idiots decide the day you are going away they are going to go on strike.
Of course, there are other things that might just hold you up. Nowadays you have to allow at least 3 hours at the airport just to ensure you get through all the security checks. Of course we all want to be safe when we are up in the air, but surely they know that August is a really busy month at the airports, so perhaps they might do a bit of forward planning and employ more staff to deal with the surge in demand.
Bearing all this in mind, I think this year I am going to buck my usual trend and have a look at what some of these UK family holidays have to offer.There is no guarantee the sun will shine, but would it really be the end of the world. I am sure there are some brilliant UK Activity Holidays that we could all get involved in and surely that is what it is all about, spending time with the family.
I have some fond memories of a school trip taken to the Brecon Beacons when I was 13, so it might be a good idea to start my search by looking at some Hotels in Wales and see what delights they can offer us as a family.
I feel confident that even though it isn’t a holiday I usually take, I am going to enjoy every second of it because I don’t have to be stuck at the airport with all the miserable passport control workers.My UK holiday is going to be like a breath of fresh air this year.
Now all that is left to do is somehow persuade everybody else in the family that my plan is brilliant, I have a feeling my female powers of persuasion might swing into action!
